Details
Human Trafficking is a crime that involves exploiting a person for labor, services, or commercial sex. Polaris, a non-profit that operates the U.S. National Human Trafficking Hotline, reports 25 million people are trafficked worldwide.
This summit will join together First Spouses and leaders from across the country to empower and raise awareness on the global pandemic known as human sex and labor trafficking. Speakers at the national and state will share knowledge of legislation, policy, and programmatic efforts to address this issue. A survivor will provide perspective to the importance of raising awareness. The summit will end with a call to action and offer participants the opportunity to join a united pledge to eradicate human trafficking.
