AUGUST EVENTS Maranda Cardinale and Tiffany Pilgrim
Maranda Cardinale and Tiffany Pilgrim launched August Events in 2017. The two friends worked at an event rental company together when they decided it was time to leap to entrepreneurship. Their goal: to create a design-forward planning company that could serve a wide range of clients. Fast forward four years and one pandemic later, and they’ve managed to do just that.
August Events offers event planning and design services to private, corporate, nonprofit, and wedding clients. Maranda and Tiffany describe themselves as “organized creatives”. Maranda – who graduated from SMU Law – left a career in estate planning to pursue her passion for the event industry, first working as a floral designer upon returning to Baton Rouge. Tiffany graduated from LSU with a degree in Applied Statistics but always loved design.
In May of 2021, they teamed up with OnSite Design to launch a new venue in Old Goodwood: The Gilmour. With the post-pandemic event boom, they have also been able to add an associate planner to their roster and a production team. They hope to create even more opportunities for young women to pursue their passion for events as their business grows.
